About us Our people Our Staff Therapies Team Kiran Chiluveru Therapies & Service Manager I graduated from Chester University with a Master’s degree in Cardio Vascular Rehabilitation having previously studied a Bachelors of Physiotherapy in India. I am trained in pilates and acupuncture and have been working for the Centre since 2010. My responsibilities are to lead and direct the Therapy and Services Team to deliver a comprehensive operational service at the Centre. I am also involved in treating and helping members with neurological conditions and assisting with their mobility, and improving their function and quality of living. I am here to listen and help the members and Carers if they have any concerns - my door is always open. I also manage the referrals from our Access to Exercise programme. I am a keen yoga enthusiast, and love to cook in my spare time. You can contact me at [email protected] Eleanor Milosevic Neurological Physiotherapist My aim here at the Centre is to support individuals in managing their condition and deliver patient centred care in line with their goals. I hope to motivate members by delivering group exercise classes that focus on weaker areas: challenging strength, core, balance and flexibility. In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit, singing and painting/mindfulness. As part of our Sport England project, I am interested in your opinions of access to exercise. You can contact me at [email protected]erapycentre.org Connor Flynn Neurological Physiotherapist My main role is to deliver 1:1 and group physiotherapy for members of the Centre. I am here to help you work towards your goals and to maintain/improve your wellbeing as much as possible! I will also be helping with referrals and in delivering physiotherapy sessions as part of our Access to Exercise programme. I graduated from Cumbria University with a Physiotherapy Master’s degree. I have a background of personal training and sports massage therapy and I ran my own business for over 5 years up in Newcastle. In my spare time I love exploring the outdoors for climbing spots, practicing gymnastics, slacklining and exploring movement. I graduated from Coventry University with a Sport and Exercise Science degree and I have previous experience as a leisure assistant, hydrotherapy instructor and circuits class leader. I also have a healthcare background as a rehabilitation assistant at a specialist brain injury hospital. I enjoy exploring the outdoors with friends and my dog, or playing rugby for Chester Ladies in my spare time. In the accessible gym we focus on strength and conditioning, cardiovascular activities, circuit training, boxing and functional training. Pop by anytime for a taster or email me on [email protected] Jane Hall Counsellor I am a qualified Counsellor with a diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I also have a qualification in hypnotherapy and mindfulness. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have worked at the Centre since 2012 working one-to-one with members and with groups. My first introduction to the Centre was through my father who had MS and who benefited from the Centre's support. This gave me experience of how MS can impact on a person and a family as a whole, and I hope through my work I am able to offer support to anyone affected by a neurological condition. Outside of work I enjoy being with my family. I like to spend time walking my dogs. I practise meditation and being mindful. You can contact me at [email protected] Jackie Hughes Occupational Therapist I am a registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC and RCOT. I have a experience in fatigue management and vocational rehabilitation (return to work) working within the NHS and social services. An Occupational Therapist provides person-centred assessment and intervention to meet people's needs. My services include home visits, minor adaptations, fatigue management, relaxation techniques, rehabilitation, handwriting skills, and assistance with Personal Independence Payments. My role often includes liaising with external agencies to facilitate and achieve the results people need. Coming from a nursing background, I have an understanding and empathy of people’s needs. In 1996 I gained an Holistic Aromatherapy Diploma with the London School of Aromatherapy and became a member of the L.S.A. I practice aromatherapy and massage, reflexology, on-site chair massage and no-hands massage. Through this knowledge, the application of pure essential oils and their therapeutic effects, together with massage I am able to help people's physical and emotional balance. Ian Howie Tai Chi Instructor Ian formed, Wirral Tai Chi and Qigong, in 2009 with the aim of bringing this health training to the region. He brings his vast experience to his sessions at the Centre and is experienced at adapting the exercise to the needs of our members. Jacqueline Butler (Jaya) Yoga Instructor Jaya is (a RN) trained in traditional Integral Hatha Yoga in the USA and India. Her Yoga class is tailored specifically to meet the needs of our members, and all levels are welcome, whether you use a wheelchair or have independent mobility. Classes also include breathing practices and deep relaxation.
