Professionals

Are you a GP, consultant, neurological nurse or health professional?

We'd love you to come and visit the Centre and see how our services can benefit your patients.

We have a close working relationship with West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group and we were the first voluntary body to be commissioned by them back in 2013 and we have continued to receive grant funding from the Group. Our referral form is available on the clinical system within West Cheshire.

We also work with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board to support people living in North Wales, please see below for our referral form.

Our services operate on either a self-referral basis or a patients are referred by a medical professional. For self-referrals we ask individuals to request their medical notes from their GP.

Following referral and the receipt of medical notes, all our members are assessed by our physiotherapists at the Centre and a tailored programme of therapies, physio and other services is recommended for the individual to follow. As a charity there is a small charge for people to become members and to use our heavily subsidised services.

Access to Exercise

We have recently partnered with Brio Leisure and the Walton Centre supported by the MS Society, Parkinsons UK and Sheffield Hallam University to launch a three year project which will give people with neurological conditions more opportunities to access exercise.

Our Access to Exercise project is funded by Sport England and gives people the opportunity to choose activities which suit them from a choice of exercise options offered at Brio Leisure supported by the physiotherapy team at the Neuro Therapy Centre. The aim is to increase exercise opportunities within the community.

Training courses

Do you know that we can deliver programmes around Coping with Caring, People Moving and Handling and Fatigue Management to your groups? Please contact us on 01244 678619 if you would like to discuss the training needs of your organisation.

Students

From time to time we offer placement opportunities for physiotherapy, occupational therapy and health and social care students. We have a close working relationship with Keele University, Wrexham Glyndwr University and Chester University to enable their students to gain practical work experience within the voluntary sector.
