  • Who we are
  1. About us

Who we are

The Neuro Therapy Centre provides practical support and therapies to help manage the symptoms of a wide range of long term neurological conditions including MS, Parkinson's, MND and ME. The Centre supports more than 500 people across North Wales, Cheshire and the Wirral.

The healthcare professionals at the Centre tailor fitness, exercise and physiotherapy programmes to help people whether they have been recently diagnosed or living with a neurological condition for some time.

Under the strap line ‘We believe in a future after diagnosis’ the central objective of the charity is to provide a place of care, friendship, advice and support in a positive, informal and happy environment.

The Centre provides members and their Carers with health and social care which cannot be accessed through public services. Each week, over 250 members access services directly, provided by a team of healthcare and other professionals and many volunteers.

Our vision

“Living the best Neuro Life.”

Our Mission

“Improve Quality of Life for people impacted by Neurological Conditions through tailored and inclusive services which support physical and emotional wellbeing.”

Our Core Values:

Professional - Our team act professionally to create a Centre of Excellence, supporting people with integrity, openness and honesty to provide dependable services to a recognised standard. We strive that our support will go beyond what is expected. When you work with us you join our family of qualified and knowledgeable people who are proactive about advancing their skills and in providing a supportive and tailored experience for volunteers and students.

Compassionate - We understand the needs of people impacted by neurological conditions and are on hand to listen, and provide tailored advice and support. Our Centre and its services are warm and welcoming which encourage the forming of friendships and the sharing of knowledge and experiences.

Inclusive - Our services are available to anyone who is impacted by a neurological condition irrespective of their background. We tailor our support to the needs of the individual, using this knowledge to guide our decision-making and providing opportunities which are open to all.

Proactive - We are forward-thinking in our approach to supporting people. Being able to make the most difference we can to people’s lives drives us to seek out advances in therapeutic techniques and uses of appropriate technology. We are passionate about increasing awareness of the needs of people impacted by neurological conditions and encourage people to take control to manage their conditions.

Collaborative - We work together across teams to pool expertise, share thoughts and communicate ideas to create an evolving service, secure in its future. We bring people together to provide supportive opportunities to share life-experiences and to influence our services. We play an active and trusted role in representing our community, seeking partnerships where we can provide and influence improved support for people impacted by neurological conditions.

I'm joining in with #GetAwesomeThisAutumn to raise funds for the Centre because it's done wonders for my husband, his mobility has improved hugely and he enjoys the social side of the centre. As a carer, the Centre supports me too, giving me time and space to recharge.
