Over £2,400 was raised at this year’s Laundry b Fashion Show in support of the Neuro Therapy Centre.

The Fashion Show was held at 1539 Restaurant and Bar in the grounds of Chester Racecourse on Wednesday 20th March. Guests were treated to a two course meal whilst having the opportunity to view Laundy b’s spring fashions during two catwalks. A pop-up shop also provided the perfect opportunity to do a little shopping, complete with glittering jewellery, handbags and beautiful clothes.

“140 guests joined us for the evening, our largest audience yet,” said Shannah Adams, Events and Volunteer Coordinator at the Neuro Therapy Centre. “This event gets more popular each year, which is fantastic as it is enjoyed by all and helps to raise awareness and funds for our Centre.”

Two singers performed on the night, Melissa Jeffrey opened the evening and Anne Whiteley performed after the meal. Hair and make-up was provided for the models on the night by Saks Hair and Beauty based in Chester.

The evening concluded with a raffle containing a collection of prizes donated by local businesses – Clarins, Piste Wine Bar and Restaurant, The Architect, David Lloyd Clubs, Escapism Chester, Hawarden Farm Shop, Crowne Plaza Hotels, Breakout Chester, The Skinny Survival Box, We Love Yoga and Liquor and Co. In total the evening raised £2,481 for the Neuro Therapy Centre. All the money raised will help the Centre provide therapies and support to local people affected by neurological conditions.

Jane Johnston-Cree was delighted the evening was such a success. “This is our sixth Fashion Show with Laundry b and we are pleased to have worked with them again on this popular event. We would like to say a huge thank you to Dawn and her team at Laundry b in Chester and everyone who donated a raffle prize.”
