Tai Chi

Tai Chi is a series of slow, controlled movements, performed in a slow, relaxed and harmonised way, which can help to develop strength, balance, posture, and calm. It pays attention to both physical functioning and psychological attitude and can significantly improve muscle strength and general well-being.

We deliver our programme to participants both in the standing and in the sitting position, meaning that individuals who are unable to move their upper or lower limbs, and in particular those in wheelchairs, can benefit.

Sessions are delivered by Ian Howie on Mondays from 11.00am to 12 noon, session price £5.

Relaxation and gentle stretching helps to prevent muscles from stiffening. Yoga aims to balance the mind, body and spirit. It is not competitive and is suitable for everyone regardless of ability.

Yoga can help individuals to become more supple and relaxed through posture and breathing exercises. Apart from doing considerable good, it is also great fun, enjoyable and relaxing. Our professional practitioner will be delighted to work with you.

Sessions are held at the Centre weekly on Tuesday from 9.45am until 11.15am. Session price £5.
