Wednesday 30th November 10am – 12pm

Following on from our online conference around the impact of the Access to Exercise project in West Cheshire.

This workshop is targeted for people living with neurological conditions to support discussion and action planning around the findings and recommendations of the project.

We would like to meet with people living with neurological conditions to talk through the findings in the report, and how you would like to be involved in developments in the future.

The report identified significant benefits for people taking part:

‘My movement has improved steadily with her guidance, and my confidence has been built as I had been reluctant to attend any exercise classes as embarrassed. ‘

As well as the barriers to movement, activity and exercise:

“I’m very reluctant to join a gym or anything like that without having somebody that’s got the expertise and knows a bit about the condition.”

“I’m just frightened of getting really tired or whether I’m frightened that actually through exercising I might make myself have a relapse which I don’t think that’s true."

The workshop will be carried out over Zoom, book a free place below to receive the link.

This project is a partnership between the Neuro Therapy Centre, Brio Leisure and the Walton Centre, with funding from Sport England and support from the MS Society, Parkinson’s UK and Sheffield Hallam University.
