Wednesday 18th January 1pm – 3pm

Following on from our online conference around the impact of the Access to Exercise project in West Cheshire.

This workshop is targeted for leisure services to support discussion and action planning around the findings and recommendations of the project.

We would like to meet with a range of leisure service and activity providers to discuss the implications for leisure services identified in the report.  If you would like to discuss the learning from the project with other people who work or use leisure services then please come along:

  • Exercise professionals must be appropriately trained in exercise for neurological conditions
  • Available exercise services should be accessible and affordable but involve a modest contribution.
  • Referral processes into the exercise services should be quick and not onerous for the referrer
  • Exercise services should create communication links with referring health care professionals to provide feedback and ongoing discussion of referred individuals

The workshop will be carried out over Zoom, book a free place below to receive the link.

This project is a partnership between the Neuro Therapy Centre, Brio Leisure and the Walton Centre, with funding from Sport England and support from the MS Society, Parkinson’s UK and Sheffield Hallam University.
